    Location

This Regency is located in the small but vibrant market town, Rayleigh. In the heart of the Rochford District of Essex, this historic town has retained much of its traditional charm whilst being in touching distance of the UK’s noisy capital, London.

Rayleigh is a welcoming town full of character, nestled between well-known Essex hotspots, such as the popular coastal town, Southend-on-Sea. Meaning, you can enjoy sunny, summer days on the beach within a 20-minute drive. Rayleigh is packed with personality and provides residents with an abundance of things to do. Providing countryside, seaside and quirky local towns and villages, it is hard to believe this town is located such a short distance from the capital.

The town has undergone significant modern development over the years and boasts plenty of great restaurants, bars, and shops on the high street. Yet, it’s kept so much of its historic appeal. Rayleigh’s rich cultural heritage and Saxon influence is present in its buildings and architectural structures.

    A Very Well-Connected Town

Rayleigh is an extremely well-connected town. Regular rail services run from Rayleigh train station, which can take you to Southend Airport in a mere 11 minutes. You can also be in London in just over 40 minutes, making it a fantastic commuter town for those wanting to experience some tranquillity but still live close to the capital. On top of such accessible train routes, Raleigh also boasts a number of regular and reliable bus routes. On your doorstep, you can travel directly to London Stansted, as well as many nearby areas such as Chelmsford, Southend, and Lakeside.

Rayleigh also benefits from being a short drive away from the coast. Some of the UK’s most picturesque beaches, such as Leigh on Sea and Chalkwell are just over a 20-minute car-ride away. Experience the traditional English fishing villages, renowned for their cobbled streets that are bursting with character.

    The Covid Effect

COVID-19 has had a huge impact on buyer preferences. Trends are clearly showing how buyers have less desire to live near their place of work, but value living near green, outdoor spaces instead. Larger city centre apartments simply do not offer the same standard of living as their smaller neighbours. The Regency has green open spaces and parkland on its doorstep, offering the ideal backdrop for dog-walking, sports, and recreation.
